More than six months after 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home, journalist and documentarian Briana Whitney shared unsettling excerpts of the letter on Ashley Flowers' Crime Junkie podcast, offering the public its clearest look yet at the message that shook the Guthrie family to its core.\n\n'We have your mother': The opening threat\n\nWhitney read directly from the note, which was sent just one day after Nancy was reported missing on Feb. 1. \"Hello, Savannah. We have your mother, Nancy. She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom, and once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. Then, months later, a third note emerged, offering disturbing proof-of-life material, including a video and personal details, in exchange for money. Reports suggest all three notes may have come from the same sender.\n\nEarlier reports suggested the notes were not genuine, but the FBI later clarified that while some letters have been dismissed, others are still being treated as \"potentially legitimate.\" For Savannah Guthrie, the ordeal is far from over. "body": "فرضت إدارة الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب اليوم الجمعة رسوماً جمركية جديدة بنسبتي 10% و12.5% على السلع الواردة من 60 شريكاً تجارياً، منهم \"الاتحاد الأوروبي\" والصين، على خلفية مزاعم تتعلق بالتقاعس عن تطبيق حظر العمل القسري بالتزامن مع انتهاء سريان الرسوم الجمركية العالمية المؤقتة بنسبة 10%.\n\nوتعد هذه الخطوة أحدث مساعي البيت الأبيض لإعادة فرض رؤية ترامب بإعلان رسوم جمركية على جميع دول العالم تقريباً بعد أن ألغت المحكمة العليا الأميركية في فبراير/شباط الرسوم \"المتبادلة\" التي تراوحت بين 10% و50% وفرضها ترامب العام الماضي بموجب قانون للطوارئ الوطنية في محاولة لتقليص العجز التجاري الأميركي.\n\nأميركا تستعد لفرض رسوم جمركية طويلة الأمد على شركائها الرئيسيين\n\nوتغطي التعريفات الجديدة، التي أُعلن عنها أمس الخميس في السجل الفيدرالي للإخطارات، 99.4% من الواردات الأميركية، لكنها تتضمن استثناءات عديدة لمنتجات مثل النفط والغاز والأسمدة وبعض المواد الغذائية.\n\nوتتيح الرسوم الجديدة، المفروضة بموجب المادة 301 من قانون التجارة لعام 1974، للإدارة الأميركية الحفاظ على حد أدنى للرسوم الجمركية على جميع الواردات تقريباً على الرغم من الانتكاسة التي تعرضت لها من المحكمة العليا.\n\nومن المرجح أيضاً أن تواجه هذه الرسوم تحديات قانونية أقل من تلك التي أبطلتها المحكمة في فبراير/شباط إذ صمدت المادة 301 أمام طعون قضائية سابقة.\n\nوانتهى سريان الرسوم الجمركية العالمية المؤقتة التي فرضها ترامب بنسبة 10% في الساعة 12:01 صباحاً بتوقيت شرق الولايات المتحدة اليوم الجمعة (04:01 بتوقيت غرينتش) بعد 150 يوماً.\n\nودخلت الرسوم الجديدة حيز التنفيذ في تلك اللحظة بالضبط، مع إعفاء البضائع العابرة حتى الساعة 12:01 صباحاً بتوقيت شرق الولايات المتحدة يوم 28 يوليو/تموز.\n\nوقال الممثل التجاري الأميركي جيميسون جرير في بيان: \"تطبق الولايات المتحدة حظراً على استيراد المنتجات المصنوعة بالعمل القسري منذ ما يقرب من قرن، وتنفذه بصرامة. وآن الأوان لشركائنا التجاريين أن يحذوا حذونا\".\n\nوأضاف: \"ستبدأ الإجراءات التي اتُخذت اليوم في تصحيح ما يمثل انتهاكاً لحقوق الإنسان وممارسة تجارية مشوهة، وذلك من أجل تحسين وضع العمال في كل مكان\".\n\nوسبق أن قال جرير إنه بالنسبة للدول التي أبرمت اتفاقيات تجارية مع واشنطن تضع سقفاً لمعدلات الرسوم الجمركية الأميركية، فإن الرسوم الجديدة المتعلقة بالعمل القسري لن تتجاوز تلك الحدود القصوى.\n\nوفرضت الولايات المتحدة رسوماً جمركية 10% على السلع الواردة من الأرجنتين وبنجلادش وبريطانيا وكمبوديا وكندا والإكوادور والسلفادور وجواتيمالا وهندوراس والهند وإندونيسيا والأردن وماليزيا والمكسيك وباكستان وسريلانكا وترينيداد وتوباغو.\n\nأما \"الاتحاد الأوروبي\" وتايوان واليابان وكوريا الجنوبية وسويسرا، فحدد لها معدلات بلغت، عند إضافتها إلى معدلات الرسوم الجمركية المعمول بها مسبقاً، ما مجموعه 10% أو 12.5%.\n\nأما الدول المتبقية وعددها 38، فحددت الولايات المتحدة لها معدل 12.5%. وتشمل فيتنام، التي أصدرت مرسوماً جديداً هذا الأسبوع يحدد قواعد أكثر تفصيلاً تحظر استيراد السلع المصنوعة بالعمل القسري، والصين التي تتهمها واشنطن باحتجاز أفراد أقلية الويغور في معسكرات عمل، وهو ما تنفيه بكين.\n\nوأبلغ مسؤولو إدارة ترامب نظراءهم الصينيين بأنهم يعتزمون إعادة فرض الرسوم الجمركية التي كان ترامب قد حددها على السلع الصينية لتصل إلى نسبة 20% التي تم الاتفاق عليها في الهدنة التجارية مع الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2025، دون تجاوز هذا المستوى.\n\nوقبل الإجراء المتخذ اليوم الجمعة، كانت نسبة الرسوم الجمركية على بضائع الصين انخفضت إلى 10%، باستثناء نسبة 25% فرضت خلال ولاية ترامب الأولى على السلع الصناعية.\n\nمعارضة دول\n\nأثار هذا الإجراء احتجاجات على الفور من بعض الشركاء التجاريين.\n\nوقالت كايا كالاس، مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في \"الاتحاد الأوروبي\"، إن التكتل يعتبر الرسوم الجمركية الجديدة صدمة، وإن مبررات واشنطن لا معنى لها.\n\nوقالت لرويترز على هامش اجتماعات رابطة دول جنوب شرق آسيا (آسيان) في مانيلا: \"إذا قارنت قوانين العمل لدينا بتلك المعمول بها في الولايات المتحدة، أعني أننا نمنح إجازات مدفوعة الأجر ولدينا ظروف عمل جيدة جداً لموظفينا، لذا فإن هذا الأمر لا يستند إلى أساس حقيقي\".\n\nووصفت أستراليا والبرازيل الرسوم الجمركية الجديدة بأنها غير مبررة، وقالتا إنهما ستسعيان إلى إلغائها، في حين قالت النرويج إنه \"لا أساس\" لها.\n\nأما كندا -
