"body": "Detta är en debattartikel i Kyrkans Tidning. Åsikterna som uttrycks i texten är skribentens egna.\n\nAI väcker frågor åt många håll nu och det ställer ökade krav på kyrkan. Det är lätt hänt att vi fastnar i dialoger och debatter som är lågt hängande frukter för oss: Kan vi använda AI för att skapa predikan? Vad gör AI med \"imago Dei\"? Hur kommer AI påverka kyrkans teologi?\n\nDet är viktiga frågor som behöver hanteras. Men nu behöver samtalet breddas, även för kyrkan.\n\nI juni kom AI-Sweden tillsammans med arbetsmarknadens AI-råd ut med den senaste insiktsrapporten om hur AI påverkar svensk arbetsmarknad. Effekter syns på en mängd olika områden. Kompetenser halkar efter, instegsjobb ersätts med AI-flöden i allt högre grad, branscher stöps om och roller i organisationer börjar förändras på ett drastiskt sätt.\n\nI början av detta år exploderade det dessutom i mjukvarusektorn då AI-giganten Anthropic kom ut med sin då senaste modell, Opus 4.6. Det är relativt gamla nyheter nu, cirka fyra månader senare, men denna modell behövde i princip inte någon människa för att skapa avancerad programvara och jobba enskilt i timmar med pålitliga resultat. Efter det är inget sig likt. Bara mjukvarubranschen sysselsätter drygt 200 000 personer i Sverige.\n\nMen varför behöver kyrkan bry sig om mjukvarubranschen?\n\nVad vi sett under starten av 2026 är en helt ny våg av AI-utveckling och den börjar med själva infrastukturen för en stor del av hela det moderna samhällsbygget mjukvaran i datorsystem. Vissa kallade februari 2026 för ett nytt Chatgpt-moment.\n\nMitt i all debatt om huruvida AI-branschen var övervärderad och att bubblan snart spricker tog utveckling alltså kliv framåt med skrämmande stora steg.\n\nEnligt februari månads insiktsrapport (som grundar sig på läget under slutet av 2025) arbetar 80 procent av yrkesverksamma i Sverige i tjänstesektorn och 60 till 70 procent av arbetsuppgifterna där är nu exponerade för AI.\n\nÄven Atea sätter ord på det, AI-dialogen har tydligt förflyttats. Vi är inte längre inne i den utforskande fasen. 2026 är året då vi börjat utföra med hjälp av AI.\n\nVad kommer detta leda till? Vem ska göra vad i organisationer framöver? I samhället? Och vidare: Vad ska jag utbilda mig till? Vad gör mitt arbete med min upplevelse av mål och mening i livet? Vad blir min uppgift nu? Den tekniska utvecklingen blir existentiell och samtidigt konkret på en ny nivå och kyrkan behöver beredskap och kompetens för att finnas mitt i det samtalet och möta människors liv och frågor i sviterna av AI-utvecklingen.\n\nI Skara stift arbetar vi med policy och riktlinjer omkring hur AI ska användas. Om gränssättande, Gdpr, upphovsrätt och AI-utvecklingen i relation till klimat och miljö.\n\nDet arbetet behöver göras nu. Men vid sidan om detta behöver också något annat ta form. Vi ser ett stort behov av beredskap för att möta det som kyrkan och hela samhället är på väg in i som följd av AI-utvecklingen.\n\nMetodistpastorn Robert A. Hunt skriver i boken AI - all brain and no soul? om hur han som nyexaminerad och inspirerad för teologi och apologetik tvingades att skifta fokus när han mötte verkligheten. Människor mitt i församlingen ville inte framförallt få svar på svåra teologiska problem, de ville få hjälp och stöttning i livet som människa. I boken argumenterar han för att det är så kyrkan behöver relatera till den tekniska utvecklingen i samhället nu.\n\nEller som han själv uttrycker det:\n\n\"People were worrying about staying human while living in a changing society. I was realizing theology might not be the most important thing\".\n\nKyrkans första uppgift har aldrig varit att formulera och intellektualisera. Det behövs, men kärnan handlar om det levda livet. Det har det alltid gjort. Om människor med verkliga liv som möter andra människor med verkliga liv och hur vi i det mötet får syn Gud.\n\nFöljderna av AI-utvecklingen i Sverige kommer att bli mer och mer påtagliga, för människors levda liv. Mitt i detta riskerar kyrkan nu att formulera mer än att göra. Hur möter vi människor som drabbas av en skakande arbetsmarknad? Hur hjälper vi unga att navigera i utbildning och framtidsdrömmar när hela branscher skakar i grunden? När församlingsbor uttrycker att de hellre pratar med sin AI-assistent än besöker själavården i församlingen, hur ska vi förstå det? Robotar mitt ibland oss dröjer eventuellt några år ytterligare, men AI som entitet och fenomen i samhällsbygget tar nu kropp på ett mer konkret sätt. "body": "Senior leaders from the Metropolitan Police, Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, and some of the largest UK retailers have agreed an action plan to help tackle retail crime in the capital. The roundtable, which took place at New Scotland Yard earlier this month, included the Assistant Commissioner for the Metropolitan Police, two Deputy Mayors, and around twenty retail organisations.\n\nRetailers and police agreed the priorities for improved partnership working to reduce crime and deliver stronger outcomes for our high streets. The action plan focuses on improving evidence sharing, supporting each other through the criminal justice process, and giving greater priority to retail crime.\n\nDuring the meeting the police agreed to:\n\n* Prioritise attendance to violent retail incidents and those where the offender is detained\n\n* Improve updates to retailers on the progress and outcomes of reported crimes\n\n* Focus enforcement on prolific offenders and organised crime groups\n\nWhilst the retailers agreed to:\n\n* Ensure high quality evidence, including CCTV and body-worn camera footage, is preserved and shared\n\n* Provide police with a single point of contact, to reduce delays\n\n* Give colleagues the necessary time to support the criminal justice process\n\nThe Metropolitan Police is the largest police force in the country, responsible for policing in the capital. As the largest city in the country, it accounts for approximately a fifth of all retail crime incidents.\n\nThe Met also made almost 50 per cent more arrests in 25/26, and the positive outcome rate for retail crime - which is a charge or caution - rose by 123 per cent, to 5,996.\n\nHelen Dickinson, Chief Executive at the British Retail Consortium, said:\n\n\"We hope today's action plan can boost collaboration between retailers and the Metropolitan Police: working together and sharing intelligence is essential to tackling the scourge of retail crime. Theft already costs shops hundreds of millions of pounds every year - money that would be better spent investing in lower prices and improving the customer experience. The Crime and Policing Act offers police new powers to clamp down on criminals and it is essential that offenders are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Better intelligence sharing, improving reporting, and robust enforcement are critical to turning the tide on retail crime once and for all.\"\n\nMatt Twist, Assistant Commissioner for Frontline Policing at the Metropolitan Police, said:\n\n\"We understand that shoplifting has a corrosive impact on businesses, retail workers, and communities. That's why we remain committed to engaging with the retail sector and today's roundtable is another step in the right direction. By putting more officers into our neighbourhoods, we have cut shoplifting offences by nearly four per cent, but we know there's still more work to be done.\n\nSharing evidence is crucial in building strong cases and stopping offenders, we will continue to work with business to ensure incidents are reported to bring those offenders to justice.\"\n\nDeputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, Kaya Comer-Schwartz, said:\n\n\"The Mayor has worked with the Met to drive shoplifting and theft down across London. Record funding from City Hall is putting more officers on the streets in the West End and in hotspots across the capital, where they are working with retailers to crackdown on prolific offenders and ensure London is a no-go zone for shoplifting and antisocial behaviour. We have built excellent working relationships with retailers and today we discussed how to further strengthen these partnerships, the game-changing role of Live Facial Recognition technology across the West End and the rollout of new IT platforms to deter and bring criminals to justice to build a safer London for everyone.\"\n\nChris Brook-Carter, chief executive of the Retail Trust, said:\n\n\"This action plan shows how seriously the police and retailers are taking their shared responsibility to tackle retail crime, improve reporting and ensure shop workers are properly supported.\n\nRetail workers need to know that every incident of theft, violence or abuse will be treated with urgency and that they will never be left to deal with the consequences alone.
